About Us

In most of the world, anthropology focuses on sole researching the living cultures outside of that of the researcher, but American anthropology takes a different approach. Utilizing a four field approach combining archaeology, human biology, linguistics, and socio-cultural studies; this holistic approach to social science research not only attempts to understand foreign cultures of the past and present from complex perspectives, but also attempts to understand the everyday absurdities within the researcher’s own culture- making the strange familiar and the familiar strange.
